About: When the COVID-19 pandemic hit New York City, three city residents in their twenties created Invisible Hands Deliver to deliver groceries and other necessities to their neighbors most at risk. The organization then partnered with food pantries across New York City to deliver food to people economically affected by the pandemic.

Since March, Invisible Hands Deliver has recruited more than 12,000 volunteers and delivered more than one million dollars' worth of food, medicine, and other necessities to older adults and people who are immunocompromised, sick, disabled, or food-insecure. The organization now serves all five boroughs of New York City along with Westchester County and Long Island, New York; Philadelphia; and parts of New Jersey.

The founders of Invisible Hands Deliver saw an opportunity to spread the word about the 2020 Census through the organization's extensive network of volunteers. They included 2020 Census information in the Invisible Hands Deliver newsletter, which reaches around 18,000 subscribers, and shared information internally through the organization's Slack channel, which has about 10,000 members. By arming volunteers with the latest 2020 Census information, they were able to remind households to complete the census when they dropped off deliveries.
